Class Act is a part of Copperstar Repertory Co. where we bring high quality musical theatre touring shows and arts education to K-12 schools throughout the state.

We will be touring SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! JR. which is a Broadway style musical based on the popular Saturday morning cartoons.

Schoolhouse Rock songs teach Math, Grammar, Science and Social Studies concepts in a fun way with music and dance. Our professional performers are phenomenal singers, dancers and actors. Students will thoroughly enjoy these performances and learn at the same time.


Shows for K-12 schools within Maricopa County are $500, 2 shows $900, or 3 shows $1,200. Each show can be performed for up to 350 students, therefore, many schools book two or three shows so that their full student body can attend.

For shows outside Maricopa County will have a travel, time and gas stipend. These additional charges determined by distance and number of shows. Should the distance require and overnight stay, additional charges will apply.

Booking requires a 50% deposit via check or credit card to secure your reservation. The balance must be paid in full by the day of the performance. Copperstar accepts checks or credit cards.

You will be contacted the week before your show to confirm details such as power source, access to the performance area for set up, etc.

If you would like a show on an evening or weekend, that may be arranged at an additional charge.

Based on the popular Saturday morning cartoons, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is appropriate for grades K-12 and appeals to all audiences including adults.


Show guides will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed. This guide activities, lesson plans and history about the show. Our show guides will address Arizona State Standards and cross-curricular materials. Guides include lessons on audience etiquette and all that you will need to make our shows a rich and meaningful experience.


Our Class Actors are available for 45-50 minute workshops for up to 60 students at a time. These workshops will be designed around Arizona State Arts Standards and Curriculum. Our Class Actors are led by director/choreographer Mary-Jo Okawa who is a certified K-12 Drama, Music and English and has had 15 years of teaching experience. Students will learn about performing arts, play improvisation and theatre games and will discuss theatre arts and concepts of performing arts. These workshops are available for an additional fee of $400 each.


One to four of our Class Actors are available for 2-5 day engagements, teaching up to four 45-50 minute performing arts classes a day. Residencies can be tailor made for your students and can include a variety of focus areas in the performing arts.
